An herbal formula is a combination of herbs designed to help resolve a specific imbalance. At Cleveroot we use liquid herbal extracts to make our formulas. As part of the extraction process, these formulas, like many similar medications, contain a small amount of alcohol. To eliminate the alcohol, insert the appropriate dosage in a little hot water, then let it cool before drinking.

As part of the Order Process, you will be asked to complete a confidential Medical Intake Form. A licensed practitioner of Oriental Medicine will then create a personal herbal formula based on the information you provide.

At Cleveroot, we only use herbs guaranteed by North American suppliers to be free of pesticides and heavy metals. These herbs are decocted (cooked) in a dual process that involves both water and alcohol. The final product is a concentrated solution that allows for small dosages to be taken with increased efficacy.

If you are pregnant (as indicated during the Order Process), our licensed practitioners will only prescribe herbal formulas that can be taken safely in your condition. Should you discover you are pregnant after placing an order, please discontinue taking your formula until you have contacted us to determine if there are any contraindications.

All clients must be at least 18 years of age. And should we determine, based on the medical information you provide, that you would not benefit from our herbal formulas, we will not develop one for you. Instead, we will contact you with our decision and you would not be charged for our services.

Because our herbal formulas are custom made based on your personal information, they cannot be resold to another client. As such, we are unfortunately unable to refund or exchange an herbal formula once an order has been placed.

We recommend you order about 2oz for the first order so we can adjust your formula as needed. This amount should last you one to two weeks depending on the amount you have to take each day. After the first order you can order up to 8oz at a time.
